Using integrated pest management (IPM) can lead to reduced costs, greater safety, and more sustainable management of landscapes. The steps to IPM are easy to follow, repeatable for all pests. In general, IPM is an ongoing activity. This bulletin explains the elements of good site preparation to enhance future weed control and goes into detail about IPM for schools and other facilities. Preventative, cultural, mechanical, biological and chemical controls are discussed.
