There are many exciting projects for youth to explore including photography, cooking and leathercraft just to name a few. Youth will encounter learning opportunities by doing,making, growing and choosing while actively pursuing their 4-H goals. Wyoming Youth Encouraged to Join 2024-2025 4-H Program<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Laramie<\/span>, Wyo.\u2014Oct. <\/span>1<\/span>, 2024\u2014<\/span><\/span>The Wyoming 4-H program encourages youth ages <\/span>5-18<\/span> to register for the 2024-2025 program year during National 4-H Week, which runs Sunday, Oct. 6, through Saturday, Oct. 12.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/div>

\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/div>

Wyoming 4-H is a positive youth development program administered by the University of Wyoming Extension and supported by a network of volunteers across the state. In 2023, <\/span>nearly 8,000<\/span> Wyoming youth enrolled in the program.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/div>

\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/div>

\u201c<\/span>I have seen firsthand how 4-H shapes Wyoming youth into confident, capable leaders<\/span>,\u201d says Sam Krieger, Wyoming 4-H program leader.<\/span>\u202f<\/span>\u201c<\/span>National 4-H Week\u202fis an exciting opportunity to celebrate these accomplishments while encouraging more youth to join this vibrant, life-changing progra<\/span>m.\u201d<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/div>

4-H helps young people build lifelong leadership skills through hands-on learning, <\/span>mentorship<\/span> and meaningful community engagement. With the support of extension educators and volunteers, 4-H\u2019ers explore project areas ranging from livestock showing, woodworking and cake decoration to public speaking, <\/span>robotics<\/span> and photography.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/div>

\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/div>

4-H is available in every Wyoming county and on the Wind River Indian Reservation. The program provides opportunities for youth to <\/span>participate<\/span> in camps, local and state fairs, national leadership experiences and even international trips.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/div>

This year, \u201cBeyond Ready\u201d is the theme of National 4-H Week. \u201cThis campaign is especially meaningful because it reflects the heart of 4-H: preparing youth to excel not only in their future careers but in life itself,\u201d says Krieger.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/div>
