You will continue to build on this throughout your entire 4-H time, year after year.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Good record keeping is a skill you will use your entire life. AND, believe it or not, it <b>CAN<\/b> be fun! One tip . . . don&#8217;t wait until you only have a few days left to finish (or start) your Record Book. This causes frustration! You will enjoy doing your Record Book so much more if you keep up on it. Really!!!<\/p>\n<p>4-H Record Books serve a variety of purposes in the 4-H Program. While society has changed, the goals of teaching record-keeping to youth remain the same.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>4-H Record Books give members an opportunity to reflect on their yearly work. They document their skill development and their learning experiences in a written report. 4-H members measure their achievements and growth in their total years in 4-H.<\/li>\n<li>4-H Record Books encourage members to set goals and develop plans to meet those goals. Completion of the Project Records awards 4-H members for participation in 4-H activities, which provides an incentive for participation, learning, and achievement.<\/li>\n<li>Completing a 4-H Record Book is a process where 4-H members record project and club work. Records management (RM) is an industry-standard practice of identifying, creating, classifying, archiving and preserving records. The 4-H Record Book teaches 4-H members these skills through a standard format.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>4-H Record Books are an educational component of the 4-H Youth Development Program and are required for completion of the 4-H year.\u00a0Members have\u00a0the option to have their record book judged for competition and prizes or to be turned in for\u00a0completion only.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you need help setting up an account with ZSuite for Record Books, here&#8217;s a link to help!
