Definition: An herbicide is a pesticide used to kill unwanted plants.
- Some herbicides kill all plants, while others kill only certain kinds of plants
- Contact herbicides work on contact with plants
- Systemic herbicides are absorbed by the plant
- Pre-emergents prevent new seed germination
- Soil sterilants prevent all plants from growing for up to three (3) years.
