Economic Trends in Wyoming's Travel and Tourism Sector | ||
Publication #: B-1131 Publication Author(s): |
Description:
The role of travel and tourism in Wyoming's industrial base has changed from the historic past to the present and will continue to change in the future as improvements in transportation, the growing wealth of visitors, shifting demographics, and new leisure-time tastes and preferences develop. Economic Trends in Wyoming's Travel and Tourism Sector analyzes these factors and also looks at popular tourist draws and their association with the geography of place, fixed locations, and natural amenities. Also discussed in the publication is the impact of tourism's traditional low-wage, service-sector, often seasonal employment as compared with other high-wage, high-revenue mineral industry jobs.
