Wyoming Open Spaces: Public Opinion in Wyoming on Conserving Agricultural Lands and Open Space | ||
Publication #: B-1160 Publication Author(s): |
Description:
This publication reports the results of a 2004 poll of registered voters in Wyoming on the subject of conserving agricultural lands and open space. Those questioned believe that the state's land and water are critically important to their quality of life. They support a variety of approaches, including using different types of voluntary land-preservation agreements, to conserve land and water for Wyoming's future. Voters surveyed also place a high value on the protection of family farms and ranches and the western lifestyle that includes camping, hiking, hunting, and fishing.
