With over 35 years as an independent artist (30 in Wyoming), Barrie captures people, livestock, and landscapes across the state. His work focuses on themes of isolation, melancholy, and beauty in the everyday. He’s currently documenting the Arapaho Ranch and Wyoming’s sheep and wool industries. Every image is his own from capture to print—each one a story of Wyoming.

Fine art photography printed and framed by hand. Barrie designs and creates custom picture frames- some carved and gilded- and prints his work on traditional and hand-gilded paper.

BJ Edwards—Bewildered Ottoman Studio

About the Artist:

BJ is a shepherd, mother, and land steward who has spent over a decade living and working across Wyoming. Originally from Southern California, she found early inspiration in wild landscapes and the animals that inhabit them. After earning degrees from the University of Wyoming, she immersed herself in regenerative agriculture—using livestock to care for land and community. Her work is rooted in deep gratitude for Wyoming’s beauty and the connection between place, animals, and art.

Medium & Style:

BJ’s work centers on her Icelandic sheep, whose wool and hides inspire handmade goods that are both practical and beautiful. She specializes in felting and also practices spinning, leather tanning, and other traditional crafts. Self-taught and hands-on, BJ shares her skills through hide tanning and felting workshops, creating art that reflects a deep connection to land and livestock

Her subject matter often reflects local flora and wildlife—recently including a series on Canada geese and a mama moose spotted along her favorite hiking trail.

Lynn works in professional colored pencil, watercolor, and pastel. Colored pencil is her primary medium—ideal for balancing creative momentum with life’s demands. Though it can be difficult to source professional materials locally, she makes every effort to do so.
