The USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture’s Beginning Farmer and Rancher Development Program provides grants to organizations for education, mentoring, and technical assistance initiatives for beginning farmers and ranchers.

No grants were awarded to entities in Wyoming in FY 2024, 23, or 22.

In FY 2021, a grant was awarded to the University of Wyoming. In 2020, the program awarded a $300,000 grant to Central Wyoming College to develop the CWC Wind River Farm Incubator (see Fremont County section for details).
