The High Plains Seed Library at the Albany County Public Library offers the community vegetable, fruit, herb, legume, flower, and other seeds, including heirloom varieties; promotes sustainability; and cultivates a culture of sharing. Residents, including 4-H members and other young people, are invited to contact the library to schedule a short presentation about the seed library. “We also hope that a 4-H club or another youth group would do some volunteering,” says librarian Shane Sims.
