Laramie Garden Club

Fruit, vegetable, flower, shrub, and tree starts available at the LGC Plant Sale each spring; shares resources, personal knowledge, inspiration, and education on raising vegetables, fruits, flowers, shrubs, and trees in the challenging High Plains environment; maintains several public gardens in Laramie; sponsors special awards in the flower, vegetable, and fruit categories at the Albany County Fair (see listing above); and holds regular meetings that include gardening-related presentations.

The Laramie Garden Club maintains several public gardens in the community, and members are also active home gardeners. Among them is Amy Fluet, who grows a wide variety of flowers (including pollinators), shrubs (including berry varieties), trees (including plum), and vegetables, fruits, and herbs. Pictured is a pollinator garden at left, a summer and winter squash patch, and a variety of greens covered by hail cloth.
