Dagan Montgomery joined the Sublette County UW Extension Office on Monday, August 29th as the Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension Educator.<\/p>

Dagan just completed an M.S. degree in Animal Sciences, with an emphasis in ruminant nutrition from Oklahoma State University. He has two B.S. degrees in Animal Science and Equine Science and Management from the University of Kentucky.<\/p>

His work experience throughout college includes graduate research assistant in ruminant nutrition at Oklahoma State, undergraduate researcher in the animal sciences nutrition lab and undergraduate research assistant in the animal science beef unit at the University of Kentucky.<\/p>

During his college career, Dagan was also a program intern in the IX Ranch Summer Internship in Choteau County Montana. He shared his time spent in West Texas and New Mexico with his family who are ranchers, as well as working in Montana created a desire to be a part of the ranching and farming communities that are so important to the American West\u2019s identity and industry.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Dagan shared \u201cI witnessed firsthand how important well ran university extension programs are for livestock and crop producers in an ever-evolving industry. As scientific research and development continues to expand, it is critical that there are services in place that can effectively communicate these findings to the people and communities who need the real-world applications. Without properly and effectively communicating these data to solve problems and answer questions posed, agriculture research quickly loses value in the eyes of many producers\u201d.<\/p>
