Cooking shows are all the rage; from competitions to how-to shows, they bring the average American tips and tricks for making gourmet food in their own homes. More than half of Americans say they watch cooking shows on television, and more than one in five use these shows as a model for food safety. While these cooking shows offer great ideas for delicious recipes, their food safety standards are often times rather low.
