Master Gardener Class: Learn – Give – Grow – Join
2024 Master Gardener Training: Weekly February 6th-May 7th.

The Master Gardener Class receives 40 hours of education in all phases of horticulture including: Botany, Entomology, Pathology, Woody Plants & Pruning, Turf, Soils, Vegetables and more. This class is a live class taught by UW Extension Educators and current Master Gardeners. Classes are open to anyone interested in learning more about horticulture and more specifically growing in our area. Registration is $150.00 and includes the UW Master Gardener Course Book, additional materials, and speaker costs.

Garden & Landscape Educational Events
These events are a free educational opportunity for the public to learn more about gardening and landscape in our area. There will be classes throughout the year, including hands-on classes.
Thank you to Juniper Westervelt for submitting your 2023 Pollinator Counts! Juniper attended the MG GLEE “Bees, Bugs, and Butterflies” in June and documented pollinators. She has also signed up for Jr. Master Gardeners!

The Gillette Bee City USA affiliate meets quarterly. Meetings are held in the George Amos Memorial Building. Meeting dates and times will be announced here and meetings are open to the public.
Gillette has been recognized as Wyoming’s first Bee City USA affiliate since April 2016. To achieve our goals of raising awareness and enhancing pollinator habitat, the Master Gardener’s Pollinator Committee has worked with the city of Gillette to plant the city’s first designated pollinator rain garden, encourage Adopt-A-Planter participants to use pollinator-friendly species, maintain the Pollinator Drawer at the Northeast Wyoming Seed Library, and host Gillette Pollinator Day in conjunction with GLEE.
