4-H & Youth Development

4-H is for life skills.

Its about more than a single game or activity. Youth will learn to speak in front of a group, handle responsibility, help their community, try new things, work with others, and make good decisions.

4-H is for variety.

Youth can choose from dozens of activities related to science, the arts, citizenship, animals, and more. They can learn to train their dog, build a robot, run a meeting, sew an outfit or raise an animal.

4-H is for the family.

Youth ages 5 to 18 are welcome and parents play a big part as well. So you can bring your whole family to one organization that’s worthwhile for everyone.

4-H is for YOU!

Young people in 4-H: Report better grades, higher levels of academic competence, and an elevated level of engagement at school. Are nearly two times more likely to plan to go to college. Are more likely to pursue future courses or a career in science, engineering, or computer technology.
