To obtain a Private Pesticide Applicator’s license, self-study and proctored exam is available.
The training materials consist of these documents:
- Wyoming Pesticide Applicator Certification CORE manual (required).
- UW Bulletins for Commercial and Private Applicator Education (recommended, not required). This document is referred to as the MP-124.

To purchase and use restricted-use pesticides you must be certified by the Wyoming Department of Agriculture.
