Macaroni & Cheese
Cheesy whole-grain noodles bring a healthy serving of grains to this family favorite.

Ingredients
- 2 cups whole-grain macaroni
- ½ cup onion chopped
- 1 teaspoon canola oil
- ½ cup CNP Magic Mix
- 1 cup water
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 ½ cups low-fat cheese (shredded)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Spray an 8x8-inch baking pan with nonstick spray.
- Cook macaroni following package directions. Drain.
- While macaroni is cooking, cook onion in oil for about 3 minutes over medium heat.
- Add CNP Magic Mix, water and pepper to saucepan. Heat and stir until slightly thick and bubbly.
- Reduce heat to medium low. Add cheese and stir until melted.
- Add cooked pasta and cheese sauce to the baking pan.
- Bake at 350° for 25 minutes.

Variations
- Chicken & Broccoli - Add 1 cup cooked chicken and 2 cup chopped, cooked broccoli before baking.
- Skillet Meal - Instead of baking in the oven, use an electric skillet at 350°F. Cook for 20 minutes. Stir occasionally.
- Tuna Mac - Add a 5-ounce can of tuna (drained), and 1 cup of frozen or canned peas (drained), before baking.
