4-H helps kids find their spark, build real world skills and become resilient, adaptable, lifelong learners.
For our youth the road ahead may be challenging, yet 4-H’ers are succeeding. Data shows that compared to their peers they’re:
2x more likely to have the goal of being a leader;
3x more likely to participate in community service; and
2x more likely to report living life with intentionality and purpose.

What can you do in 4 - H?
Learn By Doing in Uinta County 4-H
Hands-on learning is at the heart of 4-H. Through your projects, you’ll build new skills, gain knowledge, practice responsibility, and feel the pride that comes from finishing something you worked hard on. Members are involved in their club and recieve guidance from Project Volunteers and Club Leaders.
4-H activities are grouped by subject into what we call “projects.” Every Uinta County 4-H member signs up for at least one. When you’re picking yours, start with something that interests you. Then think about how much time and money it will take, and whether you have the space and supplies at home to do it well. A good project is enjoyable, has a purpose, and is worth the effort you put into it.
