Baked Beans

Make your own baked beans for a barbecue or summertime meal. Store bought baked beans tend to have added sugars, but you can still enjoy this delicious side with these ingredients.

Ingredients
 

  • 4 cups cooked Great Northern or kidney beans (or 2 15-ounce cans, drained)
  • cup onion (chopped)
  • 4 Tablespoons molasses
  • 4 Tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons dry mustard
  • ½ cup Water
  • black pepper to taste
  • Nonstick spray

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 300°F. Spray a 9x13-inch baking pan with nonstick spray.
  • Place onion in the bottom of the baking pan.
  • In a bowl, mix together beans, molasses, ketchup, mustard, water, and black pepper.
  • Spoon mixture over onions and cover dish with aluminum foil.
  • Bake at 300°F for 1 hour.
