Cereal Snack Mix
With whole-grains and a bit of spice, this snack mix is a healthier alternative to store-bought mixes. You have control over the seasonings, and the whole-grain cereals add fiber to your diet.

Ingredients
- 2 Tablespoons canola oil
- 2 ½ cups assorted whole-grain cereals (unsweetened)
- ½ to 1 cup assorted nuts
- ¼ teaspoon onion powder
- ⅛ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 ¼ teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 250°F.
- Add oil to the bottom of large baking pan.
- Pour in cereal and nuts. Stir well to so pieces are coated with oil.
- Sprinkle on seasonings. Stir well again. Spread evenly in pan.
- Bake uncovered at 250°F for 20-30 minutes or until cereal begins to brown. Serve warm or cool.
- Store cooled mixture in tightly closed container.
- To re-crisp, heat in oven at 250°F for a few minutes.
