Sesame Snap Peas
Steam and season crisp vegetables for a colorful side dish.

Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar snap peas
- 1 red bell pepper
- 1 carrot
- 1 Tablespoon reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 1 Tablespoon sesame oil (canola oil, or olive oil)
- 1 Tablespoon sesame seeds
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Wash vegetables. Trim snap peas and cut in half. Slice bell pepper into thin strips. Cut carrot into coins or thin strips.
- Steam snap peas, bell pepper, and carrots in a perforated basket over 1 inch of boiling water until crisp tender, about 4 minutes.
- Place in a medium-sized bowl. Add soy sauce, oil, sesame seeds, and black pepper. Toss to coat.
- Serve at room temperature.
