Ingredients
 

  • 1 Tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 pinch of ground cloves
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg
  • 1 large apple (Braeburn or Granny Smith, etc)
  • nonstick spray

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 225°F. Spray a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Stir together sugar and spices in a small bowl.
  • Wash, dry, core, and cut apple into very thin slices. You should be able to see your knife through the slice.
  • Sprinkle both sides of the apple slice with the sugar spice mixture.
  • Bake at 225°F for 45 minutes. Rotate the baking sheet and flip the apples.
  • Bake for 15 minutes more, or until apples are dry to the touch. When the texture is like leather, the chips are done. The apples will crisp as they dry. Remove chips from baking sheet and cool.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
