Garlic Ginger Marinade
This basic recipe pairs with beef, pork, poultry, and vegetables.

Ingredients
- 2 Tablespoons vinegar
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 garlic clove, minced (or ½ teaspoon minced or ¼ teaspoon powder)
- 2 Tablespoons brown sugar
- ½ cup soy sauce
- ¼ cup canola oil
Instructions
- Mix together all ingredients in a large bowl.
- Trim and prepare food. For meat, remove visible fat. For vegetables, wash and peel (if desired). Cut or slice food as desired.
- Add prepared food to the bowl of marinade. Mix thoroughly so food is completely coated with marinade.
- Cover bowl tightly and refrigerate for a few hours or overnight.
- When ready to cook, throw away used marinade. Cook as desired. If basting during cooking, use fresh marinade.
