Lasagna Pie
Creamy cheese layers and seasoned meat create a comfort food low in fat. This recipe uses CNP Master Mix, a base mix you can make ahead of time and store, making daily meals easier and faster to make.

Ingredients
- 1 cup ½ pound lean ground beef (beef, turkey, or game)
- 2 teaspoons CNP Italian Seasoning
- 1 6-ounce can tomato paste
- 1 cup low-fat mozzarella cheese (shredded)
- ½ cup low-fat cottage cheese
- ¼ cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
- 1 cup low-fat milk
- ⅔ cup CNP Master Mix
- 2 eggs
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- Nonstick spray
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Coat a 9- or 10-inch pie plate or 8x8-inch baking pan with non-stick spray.
- Stir ground meat over medium heat until brown; drain fat. Stir in spices, tomato paste, and 1⁄2 cup of the mozzarella cheese.
- In the baking pan, layer cottage cheese and Parmesan cheese. Spoon meat mixture over the top.
- In a bowl, beat milk, CNP Master Mix, eggs, salt, and pepper until smooth. Pour over the meat mixture.
- Bake at 400°F for 30-35 minutes. Sprinkle remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
- Cool 5 minutes more before serving.
