Around the Clover is our independent option for 4-H members. This means members wouldn’t have to sign up for a community or project club and could be involved in 4-H individually. Ideally, only members who have extreme scenarios that prevent them from being part of a community or project club may enroll as an independents. These scenarios include but are not limited to living a great distance from the location of where a club meets (50+ miles), having several conflicts with meeting times, not being in Weston County for the entire year, different places of residence, etc.
Around the Clover is by no means a way to avoid being involved in a club. We encourage members to first attempt being part of a club before they are allowed to be independent. The learning experiences to be gained by participating in clubs are tremendous and worthwhile if given a chance.
