2022/2023 Scholarships

Christmas Cattle Camp Scholarship – Due December 11th, 2022

Wyoming 4-H Foundation Scholarships – Due February 28th, 2023

Wyoming CattleWomen Scholarship – Due February 28th, 2023

Wyoming Association of Fairs Scholarship – Due March 1st, 2023

Scholarships will be awarded and announced in April. Similar to previous years, the NILE Scholarship Committee will be awarding five levels of scholarships.
  • High School One Time Scholarship – Awarded to high school seniors that meet the qualifications listed in the guidelines.
  • Rolling Scholarship – The rolling scholarships will be offered to a select group of High School Seniors who will have the opportunity to renew the scholarship yearly, up to four years of their secondary education. Recipients of rolling scholarships will be chosen from the pool of applicants that are current seniors in High School.
  • Secondary One Time Scholarship – A one-time grant, for students already enrolled in College or a Vo-Tech school meeting the qualifications.
  • Shining Star: All qualified applicants are eligible. This scholarship is for an applicant that stands out in the crowd.
  • NILE Legacy Award – Offered to students that have been very active in various NILE events from the time they were young!
  • Needle In The Haystack – This scholarship will be randomly drawn for during the NILE Foundation’s Stetson and Stilettos on May 5. All scholarship applicants will be eligible – must be present to win.
Scholarship applications and guidelines can be found at thenile.org, or by contacting the NILE Office at (406) 256-2495. Applications must be received no later than March 1. No hard copies will be accepted; please email applications to shelby@thenile.org. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.

Carbon County 4-H Foundation Scholarship – Due April 1st, 2023

Carbon County 4-H Foundation- Stallion Service Auction Scholarship – Due April 1st, 2023

  • Any senior 4-H member (age 14-18 as of Jan 1st of current year) enrolled in Carbon County school who is or has been enrolled in the Carbon County horse program is eligible.
  • This scholarship is to any college, university or trade school of the recipient’s choice.
  • Application: Horse Scholarship, Carbon County 4-H Foundation

Carbon County Stock Grower’s Association Scholarship – Due April 1st, 2023

  • All applicants must have graduated (or equivalent) from a Carbon County high school.
  • All applicants must attend a school of higher learning in Wyoming or bordering state.
  • Open to: A) Any student enrolled in a field of agriculture – and/or B) Immediate relatives of paid Carbon County Stock Grower members (to included sons, daughters, and grandchildren) wishing to study any field.
  • Application: Carbon County Stock Growers Association Scholarship Form

Carbon County Farm Bureau Scholarship #1– Due April 15th, 2023

  • Must be graduating from a Carbon County high school.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA, based on a 4.0 system.
  • Attend a Wyoming College/University in the upcoming fall semester.
  • Application and Essay must be handwritten, all question answered, and signatures signed.
  • Failure to follow application requirements will result in disqualification.

Carbon County Farm Bureau “Member” Scholarship #2 – Due April 15th, 2023

  • Provide parent’s Carbon County Farm Bureau Membership Number
  • Be a graduating senior from high school
  • Have at least a 3.00 cumulative grade point average, based on a 4.00 system. (Principal must sign to verify cumulative GPA)
  • Attend an accredited college, university, or trade school
  • Application and Essay must be handwritten, all question answered, and signatures signed.
  • Failure to follow application requirements will result in disqualification.

Carbon County Commissioners Scholarships: – Due Last Friday in April (28th), 2023

  • Available to Students who plan on attending the University of Wyoming or any Wyoming Community College.
  • Is not specific to graduating high school students. Non-traditional students are eligible.
  • Must be a resident of Carbon County
  • There will be 3 new scholarships and 1 renewal scholarship awarded each year.

Wyoming Association of Fairs Scholarship – Due May 1st, 2023

  • Current or Alumni Wyoming 4-H or FFA member.
  • Must be a 2018-2019 College Sophomore, Junior or Senior attending any Wyoming accredited institute of higher learning.
  • Application: WAF Scholarship Form
