Homemade Salsa

Ingredients
- 1 cup tomato (finely chopped)
- ½ cup tomato sauce
- ¼ cup chopped onion (finely chopped)
- ½ cup Green Pepper (finely chopped)
- 2 Tablespoons vinegar or lemon juice
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder (or 1 tsp minced or 2 cloves chopped)
- 1-3 jalapeño peppers (chopped)
- ½ cup chopped cilantro (optional)
Instructions
- Chop all vegetables.
- Mix all the ingredients together in a glass bowl. Use gloves when chopping the jalapeño pepper and use caution to not rub your eyes. Wash your hands thoroughly after handling the peppers.
- Refrigerate salsa for at least one hour before serving to allow all flavors to blend.
Notes
- Try this salsa on omelettes, scrambled eggs, burritos, quesadillas, chicken tortilla soup, wraps, or as a salad topping.
