Pasta Fagioli
This recipe makes dinner time fast and easy. You can add your favorite ingredients to add variety to this dish. This soup uses CNP Meat Sauce, a base mix of meat and spices you can make ahead and freeze to use in many recipes. Thaw the CNP Meat Sauce portion before adding other ingredients.

Ingredients
- 1 cup CNP Meat Sauce
- 1 15-ounce can chili beans (undrained)
- 1 cup whole wheat macaroni (cooked and drained)
- 2-3 teaspoons CNP Italian or CNP Mexican Seasoning (as desired)
- ½ cup shredded low-fat cheese
Instructions
- Cook macaroni following package directions. Drain.
- In a large saucepan or electric skillet, combine all ingredients except cheese. Heat through.
- Add cheese at the end and heat until melted.

Variations
- Chili-Mac: Add a 15-ounce can of chopped tomatoes. Replace CNP Seasoning with chili powder.
- Change grains: Try cooked rice, other pastas, quinoa, or bulgur.
- Add Veggies: Cook 1-2 cups of CNP Vegetable Mix in a pan with small amount of canola oil. Add the rest of the ingredients.
