Converse County 4-H and FFA youth work hard all year long and to showcase this work they exhibit at Converse County Fair. This event typically takes place in July on the Wyoming State Fair Grounds in Douglas. Schedules of events will be posted on Converse County Fair’s website.
The fair ends with the 4-H/FFA Market Sale where livestock that the youth have raised are auctioned off. Proceeds from this auction go towards the youth who raised the animal as well as to help fund scholarships for the youth as they leave the program and go off to college. There is also a silent auction for those youth that do not participate in livestock events. They choose a project that they have completed during the year which is then sold to the highest bidder at the end of the week.
