Four members of the Ag Ambassador group were lucky enough to be able to attend the Cowboy Ethics Workshop led by Kent Noble Wednesday morning. At the workshop the attendees learned about Cowboy Ethics, a code developed by James P. Owen. There a ten principles which are also know as the Code of the West. The ten principles are:
1. Live each day with courage
2. Take pride in your work
3. Always finish what you start
4. Do what has to be done
5. Be tough, but fair
6. When you make a promise, keep it
7. Ride for the brand
8. Talk less and say more
9. Remember that some things
aren’t for sale
10. Know where to draw the line
At this workshop the participants were encouraged to develop their own set of principles, their own code to live by. The entire goal being making the world a better place by making each person a better person. It is designed to create ripples. If one person can change for the better, then hopefully they should be able to inspire someone else to change for the better, and so on and so forth.
