Hi there! My name is Alex Krug and I’m a junior here at UW. I am originally from Chicago, IL. and am pursuing a degree in Agricultural Communications with a minor in Interior Design.

This semester, I have been given the opportunity to intern with the UW Extension office. UW Extension was established in 1914, and their goal is to help Wyoming citizens and communities respond to challenges and changes. UW Extension has offices in all 23 counties in the state and the Wind River Indian Reservation. Primarily, I have been doing graphics and layout for their multiple publications. It’s been a really great experience being able to get real “hands-on” work experience, but still have the support and guidance of the UW and Ag communities.

This semester, I also started taking classes for my Interior Design minor. The class, Interior Design I, has been eye opening as to how much goes into designing a space, both structurally and aesthetically. And the best part is that it’s in the College of Agricultural and Natural Resources. Although the course has been somewhat of a challenge, it’s been fun to explore a different avenue within the College of AG and NR, and to see all that it has to offer.
