Opportunities that I didn’t even know existed

As my second to last spring semester comes to a close, I’m suddenly faced with the reality that my college career is coming to an end in just one, short year. And as much I complain about the workload and the lack of sleep, I know that I will miss the whole experience (well, maybe not the lack of sleep) once I’m gone.
The University has afforded me so many opportunities that I didn’t even know existed before I got here. Sure, I do have an overwhelming sense of wanting to leave, both here in Laramie and the state, but I know that my experiences here have profoundly shaped what I have already done, and what I will continue to do in the rest of my life. Maybe that’s what the “college experience” is best for; figuring out that leaving isn’t the worst thing in the world.
