The reason I became a CALSNR ambassador is because of the vast opportunities available within the college. I feel fortunate to be part of such a supportive community and college. Therefore, I want to encourage other students to take advantage of the opportunities that our college has to offer. Everything from real experience in the field to academic scholarships is readily available to be utilized. I hope to guide and encourage new students to be a part of our community!

Higher education has always been a passion for me, and I wanted the opportunity to help incoming freshman and talk to prospective students, so the Ambassadors seemed like a perfect fit.

I spend most of my time working as an undergraduate for the Research and Extension Office, as a Transfer Cowboy Coach, and as a Chemistry TA. Being a College Ambassador has helped me create relationships with students to help guide them in their endeavors while at UW, as well as meet producers and industry representatives that work closely with our college to benefit students, faculty, and alumni. After graduation, I plan to work with producers in risk management and start my own livestock marketing business to help producers achieve higher profits when buying or selling livestock.
