Abbey Davidson
Hey! My name is Abbey Davidson, and I am currently a sophomore at the good ole Wyoming University. I am an Animal Science major, more specifically the business option, which is one of the eight options available to Animal Science majors. Being a student at the University has helped me get a sense of the real world. With so many organizations, jobs, activities, and friends I have met here, I have gotten to taste a little bit of everything. Currently I work in the University of Wyoming Meat Lab, where student employees obtain the knowledge comprising elements of animal harvesting, fabrication, and processing of meat stuffs. This job is great, and through my coworkers and my boss, I have learned so much! I am also in the process of starting my first gelding, which is great because I have learned so much about equine within the Animal Science classes that I have taken. It is really a cool opportunity that is hard to come by, to be able to work with an animal that relies so much on your actions, and learns by your movements, actions, and voice. Call me a crazy horse girl, by I found what I want to do with the rest of my life! My plan is to work up on the totem pole at a guest ranch, while starting up a herd of cattle on the same time. Overall, the University of Wyoming is a great place to learn hands on skills that will help someone in their future careers, and I could not imagine anywhere else that I would like to pursue my education!
