“The 8th Wonder of the World!”

Another week, another blog!

When I was thinking about what I was going to write about for my blog, I was registering for the 2017 Brand of Excellence Scholarship Banquet that is on November 3rd. It then struck me that this should be a topic that everybody knows about! One of the best things the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources offer are more scholarships then I can count that are from generous donors that support our education, and support our dreams to continue building the Ag industry. (Check out this link to see just how many scholarships the College of Ag offers! http://www.uwyo.edu/agprograms/scholarships/)

I am quite humbled to know that there are so many people across the great state of Wyoming as well as alumni from the University of Wyoming spread across the nation that are so supportive of the College of Ag. I think that agriculture could be the “8th wonder of the world” because I don’t know where we would be at in today’s day and age without this industry. I think all of the donors for the Brand of Excellence Scholarships realize this also, and they want to make sure our generation is equipped with the skills and education to go out and improve agriculture worldwide.

I only hope that someday our generation will be able to give back to the future generations in the same way. I hope that we will never forget the importance of Agriculture and how it affects the world we live in from the moment we wake up in the morning till we go to sleep at night. The students in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources are beyond lucky to have a support system behind us, and I know that saying “Thank You” to these donors will never be enough to truly thank them for all that they are doing for us now, as well as the future of Agriculture.
